# COSMIC AI-Risk Dashboard Demo Script This script provides a structured 10 to 15 minute instructor demonstration. ## 1. Opening statement This prototype converts the COSMIC AI-Risk conceptual framework into a working software dashboard. The goal is to measure, manage, mitigate, and govern AI project risks through a practical software application. ## 2. Source foundation Explain that the project is based on the COSMIC AI-Risk direction, including measurable AI risk, organizational, technical, and human governance dimensions, indicators, REST API support, software prototype delivery, and PM tool integration. ## 3. Show the design-first approach Open these files: ```text docs/01-uml-class-diagram.puml docs/02-use-case-diagram.puml docs/03-sequence-diagrams.puml docs/04-database-entity-model.mmd ``` Explain that development followed the diagrams instead of starting from UI only. ## 4. Start the application ```bash npm start ``` Open: ```text http://localhost:8090 ``` ## 5. Dashboard overview Show: 1. Overall risk score. 2. Risk level. 3. Deployment gate status. 4. Organizational, technical, and human risk dimensions. 5. Lifecycle readiness. 6. Top risks. Suggested explanation: The overview gives project managers a measurable risk posture instead of a purely qualitative assessment. ## 6. Risk register workflow Open the Risk Register tab. Demonstrate: 1. Add a new AI risk. 2. Select lifecycle phase and risk dimension. 3. Enter probability, impact, and detectability. 4. Save the risk. 5. Observe dashboard recalculation. Suggested explanation: Each risk is linked to the AI lifecycle and governance dimension. The risk engine produces a normalized score. ## 7. Mitigation workflow Open the Mitigations tab. Demonstrate: 1. Add mitigation to a risk. 2. Set progress and effectiveness. 3. Attach evidence reference. 4. Mark mitigation as done. 5. Show residual risk impact. Suggested explanation: The mitigation workflow connects risk treatment to measurable residual risk. ## 8. Deployment gate workflow Open the Deployment Gate tab. Demonstrate: 1. Run gate evaluation. 2. Show blocked, warning, or ready state. 3. Add reviewer decision. 4. Add criterion notes. 5. Show gate history and audit trail. Suggested explanation: The deployment gate converts risk measurement into governance control. ## 9. PM integration workflow Open the PM Integrations tab. Show supported tools: 1. Trello. 2. Jira. 3. Asana. 4. Microsoft Planner. Demonstrate simulated sync. Explain that live connector boundaries and OAuth flows are included, but real credentials are not committed to the project. ## 10. Reporting workflow Open the Reports tab. Show: 1. Executive report. 2. Printable HTML report. 3. Risk register CSV. 4. Mitigation CSV. 5. Gate report. 6. Audit report. Suggested explanation: The reporting module provides instructor-ready and governance-ready evidence. ## 11. Access control workflow Open the Access Control tab. Show: 1. Current actor. 2. Roles. 3. Permission matrix. 4. Disabled actions for users without permissions. Suggested explanation: The dashboard includes governance controls so sensitive actions such as OAuth configuration, gate approval, and user management can be restricted. ## 12. Production readiness Show: ```text Dockerfile docker-compose.yml deploy/nginx.conf deploy/cosmic-ai-risk-dashboard.service ``` Run: ```bash npm run check:config npm run backup ``` Explain readiness endpoint: ```text /api/ready ``` ## 13. Tests Run: ```bash npm test ``` Explain that tests cover the risk engine, storage, mitigation, gate, integrations, OAuth boundaries, reporting, access control, production hardening, and API workflows. ## 14. Closing statement The prototype demonstrates a complete path from academic framework to software artifact: diagrams, data model, services, API, UI, workflows, security controls, reporting, and deployment preparation.
